Pavo, the Green Peacock

Approximately 30” tall, without feather headcrest.

Materials: Wire armature, wool stuffing, fabric “skin,” and painted fabric hands. Needle-felted wool body and head. Silk feathers. Fabric-wrapped claws. Antique peacock pin at base of tailfeathers. Ostrich and peacock feathers.

Backstory: A combination of human and bird forms. Is it a bird shaped like a human, or a human shaped like a bird? Is it longing to fly or longing for the earth?
