Elerosse, the Bronze Owl

Approximately 30" tall

Materials: Wire armature, stuffing, fabric "skin," and painted fabric hands. Needle-felted wool body and head. Silk feathers.

Backstory: A combination of human and bird firms. Is it a bird shaped like a human, or a human shaped like a bird? Is it longing to fly or longing for the earth?

Juried into the 2007 Art Center at Fuller Lodge (Los Alamos) show, "Bold Expressions in Clay, Fiber, and Wood."
