“Beginner’s Mind”
Triptych is 42” wide by 54” high.
Materials and techniques: silk, cotton, velvets, metallic fabrics, decorative threads. Hand and machine quilted; machine pieced; hand appliqué.
This quilt was an opportunity to learn how to work with fabric, cut, appliqué by hand and machine, and quilt by hand. The project began as crazy quilt squares and turned into an exploration of form and color.
